In Los Angeles and Surrounding Areas

The Organizing Committee of the Celebration of the 65th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia in Los Angeles are offering a very special opportunity to Indonesian youth who are proud to be Indonesian and of their heritage to take a pivotal part in celebrating the Indonesian Independence Day by joining the Flag Hosting Troupe during the Indonesian Flag Hoisting Ceremony, on August 17, 2010.

The general requirements to be a member of the Flag Hoisting Troupe are :

  1. Have a solid commitment and dedication towards the sanctity of Indonesian Flag Hoisting Ceremony.
  2. Willing to be trained at the Indonesian Consulate General every Saturday or Sunday during the month of June and July 2010. (Every training period will take around four hours of basic marching regiment, consists of two sessions –each is around two hours long- with breaks in between. Drinks and snack will be provided)
  3. Willing to comply with all the rules of Indonesian Flag Hoisting Ceremony and filled out the registration form.
  4. At least 5’ (five feet) tall, and in good health condition..
  5. At least 17 years old. For those who are still 14 – 16 years of age, parent’s approval is mandatory.

All members of Indonesian Flag Hoisting Troupe will be given one set of custom made Flag Hoister Attire and shoes to be worn at Indonesian Flag Hoisting Ceremony.
